Adult and Family Programs
Discovery@Riverwood offers the community a variety of free and fun adult-and-family programming including walks, lectures, and hands-on workshops. Topics covered include gardening and horticulture, environmentally responsible gardening practices, wildlife found at Riverwood, wildflowers, and much more. Please contact Dave Taylor if you have suggestions for programming topics.
Discovery@Riverwood walks generally last 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Walks will be on maintained trails but the terrain may be steep and some surfaces will be uneven. Walks may be cancelled or shortened due to heavy rain and for other reasons.
Please visit the program calendar for the schedule of Discovery@Riverwood offerings. To obtain information about necessary cancellations, please visit the program calendar after midday the day before a morning event or after midday the same day of an evening event.
Guided Walks and Tours of Riverwood
Naturalists offer walking tours through Riverwood. The terrain allows for heart-healthy casual and/or intrepid aerobic walks. Guided walks last 1.5 to 2 hours.Guided walks can be general or designed to focus on wildlife and natural history, heritage, gardens and wildflowers.
